Support the Honey Bee ~ Save the Planet

Honey bees are important to life here on earth; they pollinate 1/3 of all the food we eat. Over 90 percent of vitamins A and C in foods are derived from pollinator-dependent crops. Without honey bees, mankind would not know the taste of apples, blueberries, strawberries, cherries, melons, grapefruit, nuts, squash, onions, cucumbers, and more. Due to pesticide use and loss of habitat, the honeybee population is currently under threat.

Here are some simple & practical things that you can do to support the honey bee:

1. Plant bee-friendly flowers in your garden. (allow clover and dandelions to grow in your grass!)

2. Avoid using pesticides and herbicides in your garden.

3. Buy produce from organic farmers.

4. Replace sugar with honey - & purchase it from local beekeepers.
